Forgot Password Function

Spectrum TimeClock supports a "forgot password" function that will email a person's password to them if the password is forgotten. To configure it for an employee, do the following:

  1. Login as an administrator.
  2. Click on the "Admin / Employees" menu.
  3. Click "Edit" next to the employee's name.
  4. Enter the employee's email address into the "Email Address" input box.
  5. Click on the "Submit" button.

When the employee later attempts a login, they can click on the "Forgot Password" button on the login form. They must enter their correct Punch-ID, and the system will email their password to them. For security reasons, if they enter an incorrect Punch-ID, the system will not display an error.
